Designing Hosea House
The current hope is to build a fairly large house which will initially serve for everything.
Later a chapel, dormitories, workshops, offices, library and community room will be added, and the house will be used for guests.
Farm buildings will come along at the same time. Someday there will also be small cottages
scattered about the property for those who come to rest and pray. Perhaps a variety of building
techniques will be tried and studied in the creation of the cottages.
Along the way it is hoped to study and implement alternate energy sources.
Study of water management is another important aspect and will impact the
design fairly heavily, especially in the design of the greenhouses and other farm buildings.
Part of the goal is to be useful as an environmental
demonstration project. All of this will be kept in mind while searching for
land.
